“What you seek is seeking you.”

      ~Rumi

Moira received her massage and polarity therapy certification in 2003 from the Polarity Realization Institute in Ipswich, MA and has been practicing at GLOW since 2010. Her unique approach blends a variety of effective wellness therapies, crafting an individualized session that addresses each client’s particular needs at the time of treatment and overall wellness journey. She intuitively draws from her trainings in swedish massage, polarity, thai yoga massage, myofascial release, neuromuscular technique, reiki, ayurveda, sacred hot stones, herbal studies, as well as, her additional background in art and design. Consciously listening with her heart and her hands, Moira co-creates a slow, rhythmic dance with each client’s body to meet, melt, and lengthen soft tissue, enhance joint motion and mobility, promote circulation and lymphatic drainage, balance the subtle fluids of the nervous and endocrine systems, and harmonize the energies of the body. Her nurturing, grounding, and easy-going presence throughout each customized session allows clients to reconnect and release on many levels.

Having been a professional childbirth doula for 10 years, Moira also specializes in maternal wellness which includes extensive training in massage and bodywork for preconception/fertility, pregnancy, labor/childbirth, postpartum, and newborn/infant massage instruction.

Moira enjoys a laid-back, yet active outdoor lifestyle with her husband and son, and their three lively German Shorthair Pointer dogs, tucked among the pine trees in Cape Neddick, Maine.

“We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of the dreams…”
      -Arthur O’Shaughnessy

J Harker (yes, just J) has been practicing various modalities of massage since her graduation from the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy in 2006. Before relocating to the Seacoast area and joining GLOW, J enjoyed her private practice on Cape Cod.

She has taken a variety of Continuing Education Courses including Thai Massage, Active Isolated Stretching (AIS), Neck Specific, Trigger Point Therapy, Reiki, and pre & post-natal massage. Elissa graduated from McIntosh College in 2005 as a Licensed Massage Therapist. Her unique style blends modalities of Swedish, Thai, Transitional, Acupressure, and Trigger Point bodywork to promote relaxation and healing. She applies firm and steady pressure to areas that require more attention and listens to the muscles response as she works.

She is committed to educating her clients in self-care practices as follow-up to her massage sessions.

Elissa has a love for children and community wellness. She owned and operated her own daycare for 10 years and after the birth of her second son in 2010, she took her passion for family wellness and support and became a trained Doula (prenatal, labor and birth coach). T.S. Eliot

Carrie received her massage therapy certification from The Muscular Therapy Institute in Cambridge, MA in 2005. She has been practicing at GLOW since 2014.

Carrie provides therapeutic massage, hot stone massage and holds a special interest in pre/post natal massage. She is also certified in Massage Cupping, an ancient technique which involves placing glass or plastic cups on the skin and creating a vacuum by suctioning out the air. Cupping is used to soften tight muscles, loosen adhesions and lift connective tissue. It brings hydration and blood flow to body tissues, moves deep inflammation to the skin surface for release and drains toxins by opening lymphatic pathways.

Carrie’s goal is to empower clients and help them to reconnect with their own bodies, allowing them to deepen the mind body spirit connection. She integrates a blend of techniques within each session to bring a deeper sense of relaxation, promote circulation and help reduce pain and restrictions in the body. Her hands communicate with the body while its subtle messages guide her on a path to creating space, thus allowing for positive change and healing to occur.

Carrie is passionate about her work and feels energized by helping others achieve and maintain a sense of health and wellness in their lives! She feels honored to be a part of her clients’ journey.

Carrie looks forward to time spent with her husband and young daughter, spending time in nature, gathering with friends, listening to live music, escaping into a fabulous book and of course the occasional spontaneous living room dance party!

In 1998, an adventurous move to Colorado stimulated her passion for all-things-healthy, mind, body, and spirit. It was here that Amy realized that wellness would be her life’s work.

If imbalances are not so clear, a thorough investigation into each area can occur. Some common examples of areas of focus can include but are not limited to…… learning to say no and not being responsible for other peoples feelings, finding an exercise program that works for you and is fulfilling, cleansing and learning to eat intuitively, increasing self-‐care practices.

      NP, Holistic Health Coach

“One of the huge imbalances in life is the disparity between your daily existences with its routines and habits, and the dream you have deep within yourself of some extraordinarily satisfying way of living.”
      ~Dr. Wayne Dyer

Alli Geller is a Holistic Health Life Coach, passionate about the work of helping people connect with their authentic selves. She believes this is the foundation of whole health. She provides a safe, loving space free of judgement where clients can inquire as to areas of disconnect in their lives, hone the practice of listening to their bodies and intuition, and increase capacity for self-‐love. Her work is based upon the principle that “dis-‐ease“ can stem from the stress of an imbalance in any area of our health, including financial, spiritual, relationships, life purpose/work, sexual health, mental health, and/or physical health.

Alli began her practice in medicine 10 years ago as a nurse practitioner in a traditional managed care environment. She has always had an acceptance of alternative medicine and believed in a whole health approach. Discouraged by the limitations of western medicine in uncovering the root cause of an issue, she was captivated by the philosophies and teachings of the Whole Health Medicine Institute. Through this, she began to dream about empowering patients to address the deeper source of ailments.

Alli has witnessed incredible health benefits with natural therapeutic grade essential oils. She uses these in her work as a holistic nurse practitioner and health coach. She is certified in Aroma Touch Technique, which is a light touch rhythmic massage of the back and feet which uses 8 different oils that each enhances health and helps support homeostasis, lymphatic movement, mood enhancement, immune boosting, and relaxation.

      Darcy Specker

      LE, RYT

“Let the beauty we love be what we do. There are hundreds of ways to kneel and kiss the ground.”
      ~Rumi

Darcy’s first love for aesthetics began during her childhood growing up with 3 sisters. They would often “play spa” taking turns pampering and spoiling one another with special treatments that included face masks and massage. Darcy believes there is a place in everyone’s heart that yearns for the inner and outer treatment of beauty. How well we nurture this yearning throughout our lifetime can be very important to our overall sense of wellbeing and happiness.

Darcy graduated from the Aveda Institute of Minneapolis in 1997. This is where she was first introduced to the concepts of Ayurveda, aromatherapy and holistic skincare. Her path led her to the beautiful Monterey Peninsula of California, where she worked in the spa industry in Carmel. Being surrounded by incredible natural beauty, Darcy’s philosophy is simple-Beauty truly begins by nurturing our inner selves, along with incorporating a daily skincare regime into your life and pampering yourself with monthly maintenance facials-allowing you to radiate and GLOW!

After a cross country move took she and her husband to another majestic place the seacoast of Maine. Darcy began practicing yoga while pregnant with her first born son. Darcy truly believes taking time to pause and nourish our mind, body, spirit connection is not only essential, but one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves.

Darcy is owner of Cider Hill Yoga in York, Maine. She has been teaching Vinyasa yoga since 2010. When she isn’t teaching you can find her playing in the surf with her 3 children, walking her dog at the beach or exploring new places.

  • Reflexology

    decompress, ground, calm
    Reflexology

Reflexology is a specific touch technique of applying pressure to reflex points of the feet and hands that correspond to all glands, organs, and systems of the body. The physical act of applying specific pressure using thumb and fingers to these reflex areas results in improving circulation and reducing body stress, which promotes physiological changes in the body.

Reflexology is reported to relieve: back pain, migraines, digestive disorders, menstrual irregularities, and sinus problems. Reflexology also creates a sense of well being and overall calm, wonderful for adults and children, allowing for mental and physical decompression and improved energy flow. The result is improved stamina, more energy, better productivity, increased creativity and emotional balance.

      Nationally Certified Reflexologist, E-RYT

“I think a hero is any person really intent on making this a better place for all people.”
      – Maya Angelou

Sharon has been involved in the health and wellness industry for over 30 years. Sharon started her career in Recreation Therapy working with spinal cord and brain injury patients. This led her to seek complementary therapies for her clients. Sharon is a Maine Certified Reflexologist. Sharon has always loved a good foot rub and was encouraged by her Naturopath to use reflexology on her son prior to each day of school to help “ground” him in elementary school. It worked, and the seed was planted for reflexology! Based on the belief that the power of reflexology helps reduce stress, increase circulation and balance one’s mind, body, and soul, and by working through the nervous system, Sharon finds reflexology to be a natural fit in continuing her work with clients. Sharon is passionate about her work with individuals to help them improve their quality of life and live it to the fullest.

Sharon is also certified as a Yoga 4 Cancer instructor, a former children’s yoga teacher and trainer, (ERYT-200) and registered yoga teacher (RYT) through Yoga Alliance. She is excited to be a part of the GLOW team, and working with clients of all ages. Sharon resides in South Berwick, ME with her husband and two children. She loves spending time outdoors – hiking through the woods, skiing, swimming, or paddle boarding in Maine and Vermont.

“Its impossible,” said pride. “Its risky,” said experience. “Its pointless,” said reason.
“Give it a try,” whispered the heart.

Elissa focuses on her clients specific needs while maintaining rhythmic flow and energetic communication.

She believes that every birth is unique and that mothers and partners need to be comforted every step of the way throughout the birthing process. She works with the doctors and midwives, her voice does not overpower their medical profession
and believes in all births, whether it be C-section, medicinal, by induction, and/or natural. She wants a mother and partner to feel empowered no matter what their choice of labor and delivery.

Elissa enjoys attending local yoga classes and wellness workshops to “practice what she preaches” and to further her education in bodywork.
She lives on a farm with her two sons; they enjoy the seasons and outdoor activities with skiing, archery, dirt biking, and gardening.

      Alli Geller

      Laura Brogan

      LMT

      “Energy flows where intention goes.”

Laura graduated from the Downeast School of Massage Therapy in 2000, with a specialty in the mind-body connection. She brings a holistic approach to each bodywork session, integrating her background in craniosacral therapy, reiki, and myofascial release. Laura works on the intuitive level to dial in to whatever her client needs are at that moment. Her areas of expertise include: relief of neck, shoulder, and back pain due to injury or repetitive movement, and relief of depression and stress using the neuromuscular and energetic systems to access and release emotions stored in the tissue.

Laura has been with GLOW since 2010, and in addition to massage therapy also offers astrological counseling sessions, and private yoga instruction in the Ashtanga, Yin, or restorative traditions. She has mentored and studied extensively in both these disciplines since 1999 and 1996 respectively.

In addition to her work at GLOW, Laura is also a surfer and surf instructor for Liquid Dreams in York. She is blessed to be the mother of ten year old twins, a son and daughter.
