"Be the change you wish to see in the world."
      ~Mahatma Gandhi

Amy Hopkins is an advocate for wellness – plain and simple. Since earning her nursing degree from the University of New Hampshire and her massage certification from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy, she has spent the last 17 years creating a body of professional wellness work.

During her early years working in Maternal/Child nursing in various hospital settings, Amy’s interest in holistic medicine was reinforced as she saw first-hand the need for it in her patients and in herself. In 1998, an adventurous move to Colorado stimulated her passion for all-things-healthy, mind, body, and spirit. It was here that Amy realized that wellness would be her life’s work.

In 2009, Amy opened GLOW, LLC – an innovative studio that is the culmination of Amy’s unique blend of expertise, commitment to wellness and desire to develop and share this holistic perspective with her community and beyond.

"Even after all this time the sun never says to the Earth, 'You owe Me.'

      ~Hafiz

Lisa McAllister received her childbirth training through the Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association (CAPPA) and has been with GLOW since its’ beginning in 2010.  Having personally experienced both Cesarean Birth as well as Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC) with her three children, Lisa understands firsthand the many varied hopes, joys, concerns, fears, and questions expectant parents have when preparing for their child’s birth.  Her professional path has been paved by a desire to empower mothers and fathers to advocate for themselves and their envisioned births.

With years of experience as both high school teacher and mother, Lisa naturally brings a genuinely supportive nature to her classes.  An avid yoga student, she practiced prenatal and mom/baby yoga with Amy Hopkins, and later had Amy as her doula at her daughter’s birth.  It goes without saying that Lisa’s coming to GLOW has been a special and natural fit.

When she’s not grading student papers or racing to yoga class, Lisa is longing for long, summer beach days spent with her husband Nat, their children Flynn, Elouise, and Eamon, and dog Brodie.

"Beauty is the moment of transition, as if the forms were just ready to flow into other forms."
      ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Tosca has been supporting growing families for more than a decade. Bringing home a new baby can be a time filled with joy, excitement, and love. It can also be a time of fatigue, guilt, fear, and feelings of overwhelm as roles, responsibilities, and routines all change, whether it is the first baby or the fourth. As a mother, Tosca understands the emotional and physical changes that accompany this transition. As a trained doula, postpartum educator, and certified lactation counselor she has the knowledge and skills to help parents navigate this new terrain; cultivating balance, decreasing stress, and expanding joy.

Tosca has also studied child development and neurological integration and in the process has developed a deep understanding of the wisdom and vitality we are all born with. All of her experience and training contribute to her passion for working with families. Whether offering postpartum education or lactation support, Tosca’s goal is to empower families to find their center, identify their goals, explore creative solutions, and discover wisdom in the journey.

When not helping families, Tosca can be found in the woods with her own family, homeschooling her boys, cooking food fresh from the garden, or enjoying a quiet moment to knit.
