Amy Hopkins, RN, LMT, CCCE, E-RYT, Founder of GLOW
Amy Hopkins is an advocate for wellness - plain and simple. Since earning her nursing degree from the University of New Hampshire and her massage certification from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy, she has spent the last 15 years creating a body of professional wellness work.

During her early years working in Maternal/Child nursing in various hospital settings, Amy’s interest in holistic medicine was reinforced as she saw first-hand the need for it in her patients and in herself. In 1998, an adventurous move to Colorado stimulated her passion for all-things-healthy, mind, body, and spirit. It was here that Amy realized that wellness would be her life’s work.

During her 4 years in Boulder, CO she solidified her “women's wellness niche” - working as a birthing nurse, doula, childbirth educator, and prenatal and postpartum massage therapist. Amy was hooked, and upon moving back home to Maine in 2002, she and her husband began their own family. She soon realized that her personal yoga practice was the perfect fit for her now-pregnant body and the perfect addition to her profession. Amy joined the Yoga On York studio in York Village and immediately made it her second home where she continues today teaching vinyasa flow yoga classes..

Amy teaches her trademarked continuing education trainings periodically throughout the calendar year - “GLOW™ The Art and Science of Prenatal Yoga ~ A Teacher Training” and “GLOW™ Pre and Postnatal Massage Training for Massage Therapists”. Please see our “GLOW™ Trainings” for details and schedule. She is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association, the Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association, and the Yoga Alliance.

In 2009, Amy opened GLOW, LLC - an innovative studio that is the culmination of Amy’s unique blend of expertise, commitment to wellness and desire to develop and share this holistic perspective with her community and beyond.

A few of Amy's favorite things are; living on the East coast but dreaming of the West... playing in her new yard with her family... creating spontaneous poetry...taking long walks with stimulating talks...baking her mother’s recipes with her daughter...developing a greater understanding of herself through Ayurvedic Philosophy...and last but not least...Savasana! Amy resides in York, Maine with her husband Eric, daughter Gemma,
and son John.
